The Fact
During the late 1930s, the US employed Eldon F. Wonderlic’s cognitive ability test to assess candidate’s suitability for pilot training. The test itself lasted just 12 minutes with candidates expected to answer as many questions as possible as quickly as they could. Today, the test is still used by employers to measure prospective employees’ aptitude for learning and problem-solving.
