Want to know how to find the North Star in the sky? You’ve got to search for the Plough, also known as the ‘Big Dipper’ or ‘saucepan,’ which is a cluster of seven stars in the sky. Once you identify them, you’ll be able to locate the ‘pointer’ stars by imagining – if you tipped the saucepan upwards – liquid dripping from the stars above. Now we can locate the North Star, which is always five times the distance between the two pointers in the direction that they point. It’s under this star that you’ll find true north!
